Step It Up with Steph {GIVEAWAY}!!!

I can’t believe I haven’t written in two whole weeks. Thanks to those of you who are still with me!

To start the week off right, I’m hosting my first ever giveaway! I hinted at this a few weeks ago, and I’m finally ready to get it going. 🙂

Step it Up with Steph is a program that Jessie, of Jessie Bear What Will You Wear fame, contacted me about. She and her boss gave me a trial of this awesome program and are now kindly giving one of you lucky winners access, too! Thanks Jessie (and please thank your boss for me 😉 )!

So, let me tell you a bit about Step it Up with Steph.

Step it up with Steph

The website was created by Steph, a personal trainer in Chicago. She’s all about treating yourself well, and getting fantastic results in the process. When I first started, I thought it was going to be a site about diet and exercise alone (which I’d have been fine with), but it’s much more than that. It’s about mental health in addition to the physical health so many of us obsess about.

I was given access to try out the 30 Day Jumpstart Program, which is totally do-it-yourself. According to the site, the Jumpstart Program provides you with “the tools, support, and confidence you need to gain control of your health and fitness.” Sounds good to me!

I began by downloading the necessary things, which included a Program Guide and 30-Day Workbook. (In hindsight, I probably should have printed these out immediately instead of trying to finagle with a PDF on my computer, but that’s ok. If you’re the winner, consider printing these materials out!)

The Workbook goes day-by-day through the 30 days, and includes motivation, charts, “worksheets” (I cringe at using that word, but it applies – in a positive way), and facts about getting and staying healthy. It was very interesting to fill it out about myself and realize things I hadn’t thought about before.

The Program Guide was so much fun for me, as I love organization. It includes things like a calendar, food chart, and schedule. In addition to those, it includes things like pictures of actual exercise moves and yoga poses. Completely user friendly! I was familiar with each of these, as I’ve been a bit exercise-obsessed for a while (and I’m a Pinterest-aholic…), but they’re great for reminders, and would be especially good for someone just starting out!

In addition to these downloads, you will get access to a number of online workout videos, MP3s of “Positive Affirmations” from Steph herself, and even some coaching calls! It’s all done in good fun, and I think even a skeptic would find it difficult to resist the more positive outlook this program brings.

Lastly, I’ll talk about Steph herself. She is such a real, relatable person – and I’m saying that not having met her. She isn’t in the least bit annoying, and she’s very unlike many of the in-your-face personal trainers you might have come across in other programs. You really feel as though she wants you to succeed in getting a healthier, happier mind and body.
