Hello! I hope your Monday is off to a good start!
Like I mentioned last week, today is my last day of babysitting the kids over their summer break. They go to a year-round school, which is why it seems like their vacation has been short – but they have every Friday in August off, and they get lots of breaks over the course of the year. š So, that said, my Monday is somewhat bittersweet. I’m going to miss the kids, but it will be nice to have most of August to prepare for student teaching.
Anyway, for today’s Marvelous in my Monday, I thought I’d do one more vacation post. (Sorry, Madison – I promise this is the last one!) This one is going to be sort of a mash up of pictures I took over the course of the trip that I haven’t shared yet, because either they didn’t fit in with the other posts or because I didn’t have them downloaded yet.
Topsail Beach is SUCH a pretty place. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway spot, because it was just that: the perfect place to relax and forget about anything stressful in the “real” world.
Thanks again for reading, I hope you’ve enjoyed my recap(s) as much as I have!
Have a great day, everyone!
Thanks, Katie, for hosting. š
I’m not sure what type of baked good those are in the first photo, but they look good!!
Mixed berry scones from Trader Joe’s!
So many shells! Oceans are great for things like that (and sharks apparently!).
I love the random food shot too. Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies.
I love all the shells! Shells are definitely one of my favorite parts of the beach, but sometimes, the shores have been picked clean. š¦ I guess I need to go to Topsail to get my fill. š
Thank you for sharing all these pictures, with us, Liv! You have such a good eye for perspective and light š
Thanks, Christy!
Love vacation posts :). Living vicariously through you and pretending I’m on the beach! haha
Haha that’s exactly why I love vacation posts, too!
These pictures are even better than the last ones. Grrr…. Haha. Just kidding š
I really like the angle that you got on those sea shells with the sunshine. Those are some serious shells. Whenever I go they almost always seem to be non-whole and broken.
That fish looks so good. Did you serve it yourself with those fancy lemons or order it at a restaurant? š
I made it myself! I roasted the fish and put the lemons on top before putting it in the oven…it makes them super juicy and delicious.
Wow…. what awesome pictures! The only thing that I missed out on in Destin was there weren’t very many shells.
Very pretty photos! I love the one with the shells š
So jealous! I need a vacation, haha
it looks gorgeous!!
