Mexico Recap: Days Four and Five

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Our final days in Mexico were just as fun as the first couple. One of the cool things about Vallarta Palace is that when you stay there, you get “free” resort dollars. You can use these to “pay” for massages, excursions, fun things to do on the resort, or to hire a photographer for a little while.

With our resort dollars, we decided to “buy” an excursion out into the jungle to do some zip-lining! The driver picked us up at the hotel, and after picking up a few more people at various resorts around us, we headed off into the jungle. It was about an hour long drive, in a crowded, hot van, on very bumpy roads. Needless to say, I was a bit carsick when we arrived! But it was all worth it! 🙂

After gearing up and learning how to zip-line, we climbed up a mountain and were ready to go! There was a guy there from National Geographic, so we got these cool shots of our family.

Of course, I couldn’t bring my camera on the zip-line with me, but there were some pretty cool views in amongst the 13 different lines!

After the zip-lining adventure, there was a tequila tasting. I only tried one kind: mango tequila. It was just ok. I don’t think I’m much of a fan of it, but hey, when in Mexico!

Later that evening, our family used the rest of our resort dollars to hire a photographer for about a half hour. He took loads of pictures of our family at various places around the resort – it was pretty fun.

After the photoshoot, we enjoyed dinner.

Our last day in Mexico was mainly taken up by traveling, but we did get a chance to walk the beach one more time.

All in all, it was an extremely nice vacation, and probably the most relaxing one I have ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed all the time with my family as well as all of the Mexican food, sun, and warmth.

Let me know if you have any questions about suggestions to do in Puerto Vallarta – I’d love to try and answer them! 🙂

Have a great day!
