Good morning, all! It’s FRIIIIIIDAAAAAYYYY!
This has been my first full week of work since June. It’s crazy to think that much time has passed since then. And get this: the kids start back to school on Tuesday. Tuesday! I’ll still pick them up off the bus in the afternoon and be with them for a few hours, and then they have Fridays off in August, but still…I just can’t believe summer is almost over.
So anyway, we finally got the pictures back from Costco! Yay! I really don’t need to narrate this post, as these pictures don’t need to much explanation. I hope you enjoy!
I’m so glad we finally got these pictures back. I love them all. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do for many reasons, obviously, but one of the biggest is because I get to take pictures of new and interesting things. I know people who really don’t take any photos when they travel because they don’t want to be “living through the lens.” I understand, I suppose, but for me, having all of these pictures helps me relive each moment, and I love that.

Have a great day, everyone, and an even better weekend! 🙂
Question for the day:
Do you take lots of pictures when traveling, or prefer not to be bogged down with a camera? This might be a silly question, as many of you are bloggers and I think we all like to take pictures, but I’m interested to know how you all feel!
GORGEOUS pics. Wish I was on the beach!
Thanks!
All that I can say is that there better not be many more of these posts left because every time I see your pictures of the beach I become more and more depressed that I’m not there. Haha. It doesn’t help that a lot of the shots look just like the ones I took when i went to Myrtle Beach last year…. Oh how I wish to be there now!
I do have mixed feelings about taking pictures. I don’t have a camera but I use my cellphone so it’s not that much more weight to take around with me, but I do have to charge it a lot more often while on trips. Sometimes though I wish someone else in my family would take pictures so I could actually be in some of them. Lol. I usually end up in one, incredibly sideways, body limbs chopped off, blurry, bad hair day pic when I finally rack up the nerve to ask a family member to take a picture of me.
Haha I think this might have been the last one! Sorry to tempt you!
I found that I took double the amount of pictures I usually take (which is a LOT) because I had my iPhone this year. Not being in the pictures is definitely something that bugs me, too! Haha that’s almost exactly what happens to me, too, if I request a picture. Too funny…and annoying. 😉
Absolutely GORGEOUS pictures, girl! Even if they -do- make me slightly envious 😉 I’m definitely someone who snaps up pics when they travel, but it’s usually with my iPhone unless I’m going to somewhere I think is going to be really beautiful. And a lot of the time I find that I’m the only one taking pictures so I never get to be in any of them 😦 I’m all for living in the moment, but it’s nice to be able to look back too!
Thanks! Yes, having my iPhoen definitely helped in that I didn’t have to carry so much, but I used my dad’s “good” camera for these. 🙂 Not being in them is definitely a bummer, but it feels weird to ask people to take pictures of me! Haha.
These pictures were worth the wait! So beautiful! What kind of camera was it? My favorite one is probably the footprints in the sane- haunting and cool at the same time!
I do take tons of pictures when I travel- it helps me be more observant of my surroundings & everything I’ve seen, and it helps me remember things later- people, meals, specific buildings, etc. Plus I just love taking pictures, period 🙂
Thanks! It’s a Canon Rebel…I think it’s about eight years old, but still kicking! I love that picture, too, for the same reason.
I had a feeling that would be your answer. 🙂 I’m the same way!
Love these photos! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
It looks like an absolutely beautiful place!
I love to take lots of photos on vacation. It helps me remember things years later.
It so was.
That’s why I do it, too – I don’t want to forget anything!
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful!!
🙂
Wow, these pictures are absolutely stunning!! I feel like I was there (and wish I was!).
I always, always take TONS of pictures! My parents have nick-named me the happy clicker because I take pictures of everything from every angle. Even if the trip is only several days, I can easily come home with over a thousand pictures! I’m totally with you that it helps me to re-live the experience. I sometimes spend hours just looking through old pictures. 🙂
Thanks!
I’m the same way. I always end up with so many pictures at the end of any trip. It’s fun!
Gorgeous pics! So jealous, stuck in landlocked Rugby!
Thanks! 🙂
Stunning pics! Thank you so much for sharing them with us ♥
I can’t believe the school hols are over in the US already. That’s gone so quick! Fortunately, we’ve still got 4 weeks left here! I’m so pleased as we’re having the most amazing time and I don’t want to end!
Thank you! 🙂
Well, the kids I watch go to what they call a “year-round” school, which means they only have six weeks of vacation. Most schools around the country don’t go back until the first week of September. I’m glad to hear you’re having a good time – I hope it goes by slowly!
This beach is simply beautiful! Makes me want to go to a beach, I honestly haven’t been to one this whole summer 😦
Isn’t it? I hope you can get to one soon!
You take some breathtaking pictures. That is always my flaw- I never take enough pictures and I NEVER take that good of pictures! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Aw, thank you! 🙂
Great pictures and well worth the wait. I especially love the undershot of the pier and the sand feet. Really creative and great angles for both.
