Green

Hello! Happy (belated) St. Patrick’s Day to you all!

This weekend was a very busy one for me. I woke up bright and early at 5:00 Saturday morning to about 3 inches of snow and crazy wind. I trekked out to the gym, and after a run and a shower, I packed up and headed out onto the terrible roads at 7:30. The reason? I had a 6 hour long CPR/First Aid training class in Lansing. I’m officially certified! It makes me feel better to know all of that stuff but I hope to goodness that I never have to use it. Whew.

After the class I headed across the state to my aunt’s house, where I surprised my grandma, aunt, and uncle with my arrival. My mom was already there and in on the surprise. 🙂 We enjoyed a nice evening of good food, company, and cards.

The next morning my mom and I were surprised with a huge family get-together. (Hooray for surprises!) It was great being with the whole family. I left there yesterday afternoon and came back to my apartment to finish up a short story I wrote for my creative writing class. It took me forever (I started last week) because I would write something, hate it, delete it, rewrite it, hate it, delete it…etc. But after quite a few hours, I got that done too. Just a busy weekend and absolutely no time for celebrating St. Paddy’s Day! However, I did get to spend some time with my family, and if you ask me, that’s the best way of celebrating anything!

Anyway, for this week’s Marvelous in my Monday, if you haven’t noticed, I decided to go green. As in, the color.

Thanks for hosting, Katie!

I know I’ve been saying this since last November, but I am so stinkin’ sick of snow. So, I’m going to add marvelous-ness to all of our Mondays with lots of pretty pictures of green! (Green was also the prompt for yesterday’s photo a day, which I have been seriously bad at keeping up with.)

Well. Who’s ready for summer??? 😉

P.S. I’ll have a recipe up for Meat Free Monday tomorrow – I was going to post it today, but decided I needed a dose of marvelous-ness instead. Hopefully you did too!
