….is busy, especially if that student procrastinates. (Hint: that’s me.)
I promise I will get much better at updating more frequently, it’s just these past two weeks have been very busy. Perfect time to start a blog, right? 😉
Not bad busy, of course: last week was what the U.K. calls “Reading Week” or “Enrichment Activities Week”. Depending on which title you take, you will either be catching up on reading and homework or exploring the U.K./Europe. Guess which one I did?
My mom came over to visit, which was SO much fun. We took a day around Kingston, three days around London, and a day and a half in Liverpool! It was so much fun. I miss her, and I’m very homesick right now, but it was well worth it.
This past week I was hurrying to catch up on things and reorganize my life. Then this weekend I was in Cardiff, Wales on another mini-vacation.
So, long story short, once I get the regular rhythm of my life back, this blog will have many more posts on it. But for now, a short recap of reading week and some of the days this week:
Mom and me! She wanted to receptionist in the hotel to take a picture of us before we got out in the humidity/ruined our hair.
The BEST Spaghetti Ragu ever. Ever ever. It was at a restaurant in Twickenham. This plate was my mom’s (I had ordered Risotto Funghi that night), but we went back and shared a plate later. SO GOOD!
Mom walking across Abbey Road. We’re obsessive Beatles fans, by the way.
A gorgeous buildling downtown Liverpool. Unfortunately, I don’t know what it was.
In front of John Lennon’s childhood home!
I have so many more pictures, but hopefully over time I will be able to add them to the “travel” section of the blog I hope to create.
More to come!
