This morning, I took the boys I babysit to the pool for swim lessons, which was a nice change of pace and allowed for them to burn off some energy – and I mean that literally: it is nearing 100*F here! It’s like a giant oven. Sooooo H-O-T! But their dad got home early today, so I actually had most of the afternoon off! When I got home, we took my car to the shop and learned that its center pipe (?) and muffler had completely rotted. Not so
cheap fun. I’ll also be taking my final exam for my online class a bit later. It’s my last science/math class of undergrad! WOO!
So, all in all, not a bad day. I hope yours went well too! 🙂
Greek yogurt, fruit, and granola! Surprised?
A wrap (made from one of these, ham, pepper jack cheese, honey, and lettuce), some slices of bell pepper, an apple, and a scoop of unpictured mac and cheese.
Snacks (throughout the day)
A few handfuls of this popcorn that my mom and I bought at our local health foods store.
Some dried cherries (which I can’t stop eating once I start!).
Annnnd a few pieces of Dove dark chocolate.
Pork chop, grilled bell pepper, zucchini, and summer squash, and a baked potato.
This mug cake. We don’t have any chocolate chips, so I added a bit more Stevia and dropped a Dove chocolate into the center. I added some fro-yo, too. 🙂
The picture isn’t very good, but the cake totally made up for that.
Workouts June 17-24
Sunday: P90X – yoga
Monday: 20 minutes of walking/jogging intervals + 25 minutes walking on treadmill
Tuesday: Zumba class
Wednesday: Jillian Michael’s 30-Day Shred + 15 minutes elliptical
Thursday: 30-Day Shred + at least 20 minutes of yoga
Friday: Intervals + walking on treadmill
I’m hoping I’ll be able to stick with the workouts this week. These 5:30 mornings are brutal, and getting even more tough as the summer goes on. I guess sometimes rest is better than pushing yourself too hard? We’ll see.
I will leave you with a picture of my separation anxiety-ridden puppy watching my brother mow the lawn.
And a few of her playing outside in the awful heat (we took her in shortly after I took these).
Have a great night!
Pork chops look so good. I have some in my freezer that I have been meaning to bust out. I love to eat mine with applesauce.
Me too! I also like to make a sauce out of diced apples – so good!
