On Sunday, I helped throw my friend Amber a baby shower. It was a ton of fun! My friend Briana and I got there early to help make the food.
On the menu:
– fruit salad
– my mom’s Mexican dip and chips (I’ll have to add that recipe soon!)
– deviled eggs
– panini (I made a Caprese one, and the other kind was turkey/bacon)
– mock Sangria punch
– triple chocolate cookies (another recipe I’ll put up sometime soon)
– cheesecake-stuffed strawberries
– an adorable cake made by Josie!
To make the Caprese panini, I spread a store-bought pesto (that obviously didn’t have nuts!) on both pieces of bread. I then layered sliced Roma tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, and cooked them in a panini press! They smelled soooo good as they were cooking, and I thought they tasted pretty good, too!
After the eats, it was time for gifts!
I got Amber a bath center and a little alligator robe. They’re so cute!
And my mom got her an assortment of things, like newborn hats/socks, sippy cups, a teething ring, a crib sheet, and a little giraffe blanket. 🙂
Amber got a whole bunch of adorable things. I’m so excited for her!
After the cake, it was time for Josie to leave. She and her husband moved down to Florida (!) because she got a job down there. It was really bittersweet, since we’ll only be able to see her once, maybe twice, a year, but she is going to do so well in her new job! As a going away gift, we made her a picture collage.
